NBA 2K1 is the second installment of the NBA 2K series of realistic basketball games, updating the roster to the 2000/2001 season while adding a new in-depth "franchise mode" and online multiplayer (as well famous street courts and retro teams).

NBA 2K1 is a realistic basketball game developed by Visual Concepts (Company) and published by Sega (Company) for the Dreamcast (Platform) on November 1, 2000. The second installment of the NBA 2K (Franchise) franchise, NBA 2K1 covers a customizable 2000/2001 NBA (Franchise) season while adding a new in-depth Franchise Mode (requiring players to manage various aspects about their team while playing through Season Mode) and online multiplayer for up to eight players. The game also adds famous street courts from around the United States (allowing players to play either 5v5 or 2v2) and legendary NBA players from the 50s-80s. The cover athlete of NBA 2K1 is Allen Iverson (Person) of the Philadelphia 76ers (Concept), who remains the cover athlete for the series until ESPN NBA 2K5 (Game).
