As of 2010, the city's population is 617,594 according to the U.S. Census. Boston is regarded as one of the oldest cities in the United States, and one of the most historic cities in the nation. A number of major events have occurred in Boston including the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre. In video game culture, Boston is often associated with its sports teams. The Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins are represented in many sports games as well as the New England Patriots and New England Revolution, who are located in nearby Foxboro, MA. In 2010, Boston was the home for PAX East. It was announced that PAX East would be in Boston for the next five years. The festival included more than 50 combined video and tabletop games from the Greater Boston Area and surrounding locations like New York and Montreal.
