Kevin "KG" Garnett is a professional basketball player who currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves. One of the most gifted defensive forces of his generation, as well as an excellent scorer, Garnett led the Boston Celtics to an NBA championship in 2008. He is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players of all time.


Originally selected as the 5th overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's acknowledged as the first player to be drafted straight out of high school in 20 years. Resulting, he is accredited as starting the trend of drafting players straight out of high school. He earned the MVP award in the 2003-2004 season. After spending 12 years with the Timberwolves, he was traded to the Boston Celtics in 2007, and was part of the championship team of the 2007-2008 season. In 2013, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets alongside fellow Celtic Paul Pierce and Jason Terry. He was the cover athlete of NBA Live 2001 and NBA 2k9. He's also called "KG the kid", "The Big Ticket", and "K.G."
