Overview

The equivalent of Gruntilda's Lairand the Isle o' Hags, Showdown Town is the central location in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts andamp;amp; Bolts. Banjo (Character) and Kazooie (Character) are transported to the town by mysterious figureLord Of Gamesin order to prove their worth in a final fight against Gruntilda, the stakes being their homeland of Spiral Mountain (Location). Rare has said Showdown Town is currently the largest in-game asset they have ever made.

Showdown Town is a somewhat medieval-styled village housing a wide assortment of animal residents such as pigs, rhinoceri and penguins. Familiar mole Bottlestakes up the role of town guide to assist Banjo and Kazooie, while other characters offer a variety of services. Off the town square is Mumbo's Motors run by Mumbo Jumbo (Character), which allow the duo to construct their vehicles out of the parts in their possession.
