Gloomy Gulch is a haunted world featuring ghosts, forests, and abandoned libraries. It is the fifth world explored in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

Gloomy Gulch is the fifth world in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest on the SNES, a haunted forest area covered in fog directly above Krazy Kremland (Location). It's height above Crocodile Isle (Location) creates many gusty winds as well. The area features several levels inhabited by ghosts, including a unique "Haunted Library" level that contains the music "Haunted Chase," the only level with this music in the game. There is also a Zinger (Concept) hive, and the boss of the area is Kreepy Krow, a "ghost" version of the first boss on the Gangplank Galleon (Location). The levels in Gloomy Gulch are: Ghostly Grove, Haunted Hall, Gusty Glade, Parrot Chute Panic, and Web Woods. In Donkey Kong Land 2 (Game) on the GameBoy, Gloomy Gulch returns to fulfill much of the same role. There is only one Klubba's Kiosk in this game, and it is located directly next to Gloomy Gulch.
