Leonardo is a lead character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.

Overview

Leonardo is the leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Franchise), which is comprised of himself and his three younger brothers: Michelangelo (Character), Raphael (Character), and Donatello (Character). Leonardo made his name in mirage comics and sported a red bandanna,as they progressed he wore a blue to individualize each character. He carried two NinJaken (Ninja sword) some mistake for a Katana. Splinter named him after Leonardo da Vinci.

Leonardo was often the first choice for beginning players in the classic TMNT arcade games because of his overall balance and no glaring weaknesses. Specifically, he has the second longest reach when compared to Donatello, but able to inflict more damage with each strike.

His calm demeanor, natural leadership abilities, and stern (although not entirely humorless) personality, Leonardo is the first one people turn to when Splinter isn't around.In one episode Splinter send leonardo to Japan for a new Sensei because Splinter felt he was getting bored.One month later His new Sensei "The Ancient One" Tells him of his family troubles and he flys back to New York to find his family kidnapped by Karais Army. He finds his family and is thankfull to have splinter back as a Sensei.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES)	Leonardo says his daily training has paid off, and now he must set new goals and set out to achieve those goals. Leonardo then goes right back into his training.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (NES)	Leonardo accuses Shredder of being up to one of his lousy tricks. Shredder says you have not seen the last of him, he then gets up and runs off screen. Splinter comes floating into the screen, drops down in front of Leonardo and says "You have performed well my sons. Now let us celebrate our victory."
Injustice 2 (Game)	Leonardo along with other teenage mutant ninja turtles managed to defeat Brainiac and ate pizzas containing temporary Krypton power pills. They are powered up and travel back to their own universe, easily defeating Krang and Shredder.
