What starts as a simple but satisfying loop in a world that's fun to explore becomes a tedious grind around level 60, at least in single player. Perhaps they were trying to make a game that appealed better to the crowd that likes to play on a persistent multiplayer server, but this could be remedied in single player with simple numbers tweaks, many of which are exposed for the player to change in the World Settings. However, it sucks that I needed to dial in those settings myself and that the experience after level 60 is so different than before level 60. It's a real shame, too, because some of the best boss designs lay in that endgame, but I just didn't have the patience to grind resources for another 100 hours, so I ended up just turning the difficulty mode down to easy at that point.
