In February of this year, Capcom released Street Fighter IV for the PS3 and the 360. I was a great game and it was going to be known as the best fighter this year. Now, Capcom took a shot of putting Street Fighter IV on the PC, and I thank them for a bringing a fighting game on the PC that is really fun.
Street Fighter IV's gameplay is the same as the past Street Fighters. You have your regular light punches/kicks, heavy punches/kicks, super moves, super combos, and ultimate combos. You can play SFIV with the Keyboard or a Controller that you have stashed somewhere.
You have the great roster of fighters this year. You can still fight with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Vega, Dhalsim, and others. You have 4 new fighters this year, which are Rufus, Crimson Viper, Abel, and El Fuerte. You can also unlock characters which are Cammy, Seth, Akuma, Gen, Rose, Fei-Long, Sakura, Dan, and Gouken. That adds up to a total of 25 characters in the game.
A new addition to fighting this year are called Focus Attacks. They are a charged attack that you can charge up to about 2-3 seconds and then you have a powerful attack. It's good for use when your opponent is stunned.
In Arcade Mode, you have a boss to fight at the end, which is usually Seth. If your new to fighters, it will be hard to beat Seth. You also have Challenge Mode, which are 3 modes that let's you unlock colors and personal attacks for each character.
The Multiplayer uses Games For Windows - Live. There are some exclusive achievements for this game, as well as being able to use Voice Chat in the game.
Moving on to Graphics. Capcom attempted to move away from their usual 2D characters in Street Fighter to 3D, and it worked out well. The Character Models are really slick, as well as the enviorments.
The Voice Acting in the game is pretty good, though I prefer Japanese voice actors. The English Voice Actors also did a pretty good job for their parts as well.
Overall, Street Fighter IV is a fighting game the PC has been waiting for. The Gameplay is the same as the others, but it's still addicting. The roster fits in perfectly, the graphics couldn't look any better. This is a must have for fighting game fans that have been waiting for a great fighter to come on the PC.
