The Hollywood Sign is a notable landmark at the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. It started out as an advertisement in 1923 for new housing but has since become one of the world's most recognizable signs.
The sign has appeared in numerous video games - either as the Hollywood Sign itself or a spoof of the sign where by the name 'Hollywood' is changed to another name, such as "Vinewood" from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, "Paradise City" from Burnout Paradise and "SuperGT24h" from Super GT 24h.
