Overview

The Ryder Cup by Johnnie Walker, sometime known as Ryder Cup: Johnnie Walker or Ryder Cup Golf, is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed by Really Interesting Software Company and published by Ocean for DOS PCs, Amiga (Platform) computers, and the Amiga CD32 (Platform), all in Europe in 1994. A sequel to the 1993 game International Open Golf Championship (Game), Ryder Cup is a video game tie-in with the real-life golf competition of the same name. Along with three original courses, it includes a recreation of The Belfry in Warwicksire, England, where the Ryder Cup was hosted at the time. Like the previous game, it is sponsored by a Scottish company, which in this case is the Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker. The PC version was later re-released as International Open Golf Championship, much to the confusion of the previous game. It also received a sequel, with Hole in One (Game).
