International Open Golf Championship
GAME » on 1993
A virtual golf game for the DOS and Amiga.

Overview

International Open Golf Championship, not to be confused with the PC re-release of the game's sequel, is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed by Really Interesting Software Company and published by Ocean for DOS PCs, Amiga computers, and the Amiga CD32, all in Europe in 1993. A standard golf game of the time, International Open Golf Championship includes real-time course rendering and a unique swing system where players have to aim a reticle at the ball. It features three original courses, including "Pringle Links", as the game was sponsored by the luxury clothing brand Pringle of Scotland. It later received two sequels: The Ryder Cup by Johnnie Walker (Game) and Hole in One (Game).
