Overview

British Open Championship Golf is a behind-the-back golf simulation game developed and published by Looking Glass Technologies for Windows PCs in 1997. A standard virtual golf game of the time with digitized actors (including several celebrity golfers), British Open Championship Golf is based on the real-life "British Open" tournament and features two licensed reproductions of its courses: Royal Troon and St. Andrews. It is notable for being directed by Rex Bradford (Person), who designed one of the earliest progenitor of the standard "three-click" power swing system with Mean 18 (Game). It was designed to recreate the atmosphere of golf tournaments, including crowds, caddies, and commentary.
