History

Treasure was founded in 1992 by a team of former Konami employees who were tired of making sequels and predictable mass market titles and wanted to create original ideas that would challenge and entertain. Their first big hit was Gunstar Heroes (Game) for the Sega Genesis which they followed up with titles such as Radiant Silvergun (Game) and Ikaruga (Game). Treasure has achieved cult status within the industry as a developer who takes risks, puts forward new ideas and challenges the routine of a sequel driven industry.

Guardian Heroes (Game)

Combining fighting game mechanics with RPG elements, Guardian Heroes is a 2D beat-em-up for the Sega Saturn that tells the tale of a group of fantasy adventurers, a mystical warrior linked to a powerful sword, the kingdom of a tyrannical wizard, and a war between ethereal beings.
