A game development company based in Germany. Best known for its Amiga games from the 80s. Eventually the company was absorbed by THQ in the late 90s.

Rainbow Arts was founded 1984 in Gütersloh, Germany by Marc Ullrich and Thomas Meiertoberens. It became one of the most prestigious German game studios in the 80ies and early 90ies. Most of their games were developed for the Amigaand C64and only a few have been ported to the personal computer. As of now, Rainbow Arts has been incorporated into THQ (Company) after becoming part of Funsoft (Company) / Softgold, who themselves were bought by THQin 1999. Many of Rainbow Arts former employees and designers went on to found or join other companies such as Blue Byte and Spellbound.

Super Turrican (Game)
The first Super Turrican was developed for the NES by series creator Manfred Trenz alone. It is based roughly on the levels of the first two Turrican games, which had not been previously released on the NES, combining them into one game. The game was never released outside Europe.
Nibbler (Game)
A variant of Rock-Ola's arcade game of the same name in which the player must help Nibbler, the bewitched snake, to get through the ten vicious gardens to the magic castle.
