Gui Zhang is Master Chen's son from the original Shenmue game.

Guiz Zhang initially presents himself as a rival to Ryo, engaging him in combat on several occassions through the first Shenmue (Game) game. He gradually falls into a big brother role, guiding Ryo and trying to ensure his desire to avenge his father consumes him. He teams up with Ryo to tackle the Mad Angels gang that plague the Yokosuka Harbor and interfere with Master Chen's business, culminating in the 70-Man battle against the biker gang. Gui Zhang doesn't make an appearance in Shenmue II (Game), but is referred to by Joy (Character) on several occassions.
