It's been a slow fucking week

 for me at least. I have been set assignments as part of my university course which require me to write laboriously trying essays and, having just spent 4 hours writing about the Credibility Of Computer Animation as an Art Form, i'm hesistant to begin writing a wall of text on my blog. My trigger fingers are tired, though that doesn't mean they aren't itching.
 

I have been playing Bad Company 2

every evening pretty consistently for the last couple of weeks. I'm about to hit rank 15 which will get me some nice magnum rounds. The game is franetic, though spend an hour with the title and you will see there is method to the madness. For perhaps the first time I find myself able to swap between classes fluently throughout the course of the game, picking whatever class seems most relevant to the task at hand. My highest success rate seems to be with the medic, though the huge fuckoff light machine-gun he carries probably has more to do with that success than the flimsy defibrillator.


I have been accompanied on my exploits by 8 or 9 of my fellow giantbombers, and that has perhaps endeared me to the game more that I would have been otherwise. A combination of Vent and the IRC has allowed us to co-ordinate some pretty decent Bombing-type-Runs. Joining servers as a group makes team play so much easier as we can co-ordinate attacks and strategies without some fucking moron singing or shouting about how great his Pidgey is. The consistency of playing with the same group is also pretty cool. I was there when jmrwacko (Itharius) shot the pilot out of a helicopter, which then proceeded to crash into another airborne helicopter. Ryan Davis would have been crying tears of pure joy. But that's just how BC2 rolls. Stuff blows up, people base jump off light-houses, tanks flip upside down. Everything can go to shit very, very, awesomely fast. 
 

I have

 downloaded Fraps so next time we get together for a shoot-out I will edit stuff together and turn it into some kind of video review type thing, for anyone that is interested.
