Nobody Panic

Ok kids, I haven't blogged much recently. There are reasons for this. Firstly I had my first real project hand-in deadline today and everyone has been working overtime to get our models etc finished. I'm pretty happy with how my stuff turned out, although I didn't get much sleep last night. I have been making stuff on Maya, 3D models of characters and landscapes. Sorting out textures gets me bonus points but potentially doubles my workload as sorting out all the UV's is a bitch. I also had to write an essay on everything I did and hand that shit in, as well as create turntables etc of all my work. If you have used maya before then you will know what i'm talking about - If not, just assume that I have been working my nuts off. Anyways, here's a picture of my castle design;

I have been playing a whole load of Banjo N&B. I still only have 10 jiggies though, which I guess is because I have been spending nearly all my time in the vehicle creator. I'm having so much fun creating stuff. I don't go for functional or compact designs, I go for the completely fucking crazy convoluted designs that don't really work - but they look so awesome. There's one mission where you have to protect this dude from Gruntbots while he goes for a jog - instead of just creating a car with spikes on the sides, I built a huge helicopter cage with propellers and buzzed around over him. Every time he looked like he was about to be attacked I just dropped it down on top of him. I didn't complete the mission, but it was fucking hilarious. I love the way the vehicles work in such a ridiculously logical way. Wings = flight. It doesn't matter where they are. I also made a plane with no wheels which just grinds along the floor until it picks up enough speed to take off. Just Like In Real Life!! Awesome.

As a rule, every vehicle creation is saved and assigned an appropriate name. Every name must include a number. For example my plane is the JumboMatic 460. I feel like an inventor that finally has been given the appropriate tools to fully exercise his insanity. Its only a matter of time before I figure out how to build a flux capacitor...

I guess this is the part where I say big thank-yous to everyone who helped me in my decision and advised me to get Banjo - it was definitely the right choice. Thanks guys! Your families are safe for now...

IN OTHER NEWS

I was on BSHAF again. I make lots of really gay innuendo's and made everyone feel uncomfortable. If you don't have arms and are looking for something to do I suggest you give it a listen. It should be going up sometime either today or tomorrow according to Bodega.

Last Sunday we had a little Street Fighter 2 session on XBL and Mr Gerstmann himself made an appearance which was awesome. I don't know if you kids are aware of this but Jeff is pretty good at fighting games. He completely destroyed everyone with his E.Honda bitch-slapping. One day my Chun Li will be a match for him, but that day is not today.

Gears Of War 2 is still awesome. Hammerburst >> Chainsaw. No contest.

Generally completely tired and hoping to pass out any second now. I drank some redbull about an hour ago (like a mug) and now I cant fall alseep.

That's all I got today folks, after writing my essay for my course I don't feel like typing much. Stay tuned over the weekend.
