I'm Back, Giantbomb!!

As some of you may remember about a month ago I set out on an adventure round Europe. During this time I had only sporadic access to Giantbomb via shitty internet cafe's and occasional wifi theft. Well.... I'm back. Backpacking is physically, mentally and financially exhausting. When you begin there is a burst of adrenaline and enthusiasm, though as the journey wears on you begin to grow tired...

As some of you may remember

 about a month ago I set out on an adventure round Europe. During this time I had only sporadic access to Giantbomb via shitty internet cafe's and occasional wifi theft. Well.... I'm back.  


Backpacking is physically, mentally and financially exhausting. When you begin there is a burst of adrenaline and enthusiasm, though as the journey wears on you begin to grow tired of the withered looks thrown in your direction by locals, as you trundle around their home-towns and drink all their alcohol. Backpackers all seem to fit the same stereotype, a type of intrusive arrogance which I repel as much as possible. Whatever, I had a lot of fun. I saw a lot of places which were completely unique, mindblowing, beautiful, and fucking insane. I met hundreds of amazing people. I have a fresh love for the Germans, and a confirmed disdain for the French. Such is the way of the world.
 
Highlights included -
  • Falling asleep on the street in Venice
  • Being chased by the Police for swimming in the Trevi Fountain in Rome
  • The museum of Jewish Culture in Bratislava
  • Pub crawl through Amsterdams Red Light District
  • Beach in Sorrento
  • Drum & Bass in Vienna

I have a huge stack of stuff to do. I have blogs to write (oh hell yes). I decided to write a travel blog so I will be editing and translating that over to my Giantbomb blog on a daily basis, for anyone that's interested. Your usual blogging schedule will also resume shortly. 
 
I have a lot of stuff to sort out today, not to mention watching all the Endurance Run's I missed - but expect me to be spending a fair amount of time on Xbox Live over the next few days. My trigger finger is itching...
