End of an era - Geocities closing

Well time to feel old, the legendary hosting service GeoCities is finally closing . GeoCities was a hosting site for webpages when it was cool for everyone to have/work on a webpage (no matter how mundane). But with todays blogging, twittering and myspacing/facebooking has finally done the service in (well that and Yahoo is losing buckets of money today). Well along with the old modem booting s...
Well time to feel old, the legendary hosting service GeoCities is finally closing. GeoCities was a hosting site for webpages when it was cool for everyone to have/work on a webpage (no matter how mundane). But with todays blogging, twittering and myspacing/facebooking has finally done the service in (well that and Yahoo is losing buckets of money today). Well along with the old modem booting sound (see video) it's time to say goodbye to another part of our early internet history.
