Kurt Cobain

I've never been a huge fan of Nirvana, but there is a certain amount of respect for their collection of work. I really wish Cobain didn't kill himself since he had so many people that looked up to him, and by that last statement I didn't mean any negative sentaments about Cobain just incase you happened to be his daughter reading my blog, but I meant to say that there was millions that idolized Kurt Cobain and looked up to him through his music , but I always think to myself what the world would be today if he was still around. My guess is that he would have quit the music business a long time ago, and Dave Grohl would have never got away from the drums (Foo Fighters had a couple of good songs, but Dave belongs behind a drum kit).

I read today that Michael Stipe of R.E.M. was planning to record Nirvana doing a much softer, acoustic album after the success of the Unplugged album. It would have been a smart move for them to branch out their creativity from just grunge-y rock songs. I'm sure it would have been very personal and would have made Cobain look even crazier than he already was.

Anyways, here's to you Cobain, for never being forgotten.
