Warped Tour 2008 (pics of me with RBF)

Thursday I attended my first ever Vans Warped Tour. For the first hour or so, we just walked around, seeing all the stages, not really listening to any bands. Though a quick side note, we did see Katy Perry sing I Kissed a Girl. Which is not necessarily a good thing. I'm going to keep this short today, so Ill just name all the bands I saw, instead of giving a specific story for each one. I saw The Space Pimps, Katy Perry, Gym Class Heros, Reel Big Fish, and some other small ones, which I didn't know the names of. The day wasn't going to great, until I saw Reel Big Fish.

Reel Big Fish,. the best ska band ever, where playing at 6:40. My friend an I where near the front, around 14 rows of people back. The show was beyond amazing, one of the best experiences of my life. The first song they played was Sell Out, my favorite song. During that my friend started a mosh pit, and crowd surfed, all in the span of 4 minutes. You could tell it was not his first Ska concert.

Me with lead singer of Reel Big Fish, Aaron BarrettThey went on to play a few more songs, I mosh pitted, lost my shoes, mosh pitted bare foot, and danced and rocked out to the band. I had a GREAT time. The best part came after the show though. They mentioned that they would be hanging out at the merch tent after the show. I figured we'd get the meet and get autographs from the drummer, and the trombone player or something. Which would still be cool.

But to my surprise lead singer Aaron Barrett, bassist Derek Gibbs, and trumpet player John Christianson were there! The guys were really cool, signed autographs and took pics with us. I even made Aaron laugh! (my friend said how he thought it was cool how the light was shining around Aarons head, and I said DUH thats cause hes God.) John was really chill as well, and he was probably my favorite to watch during the show. I then went on to buy a shirt.

I know you guys have probably never heard of this band, so I don't want to bore you with more info about the show, and after the show.
