Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots I'll admit, I have a bit of a bias when it comes to MGS4. The Metal Gear series is quite possibly my favorite game series of all time, for a number of different reasons. The convoluted story created so many loose ends that I, like many others, assumed the conclusion would be a near impossible feat. While the actual storyline could be found in any b-grade...

Probably going to be a light month. My stuff from amazon.com (new headphones and Enter the Dragon on Blu-Ray) doesn't ship until late December (wtf?), so I'll post those in January, but I'll just post this weeks pick-ups for now. And then last, but certainly not least... Only one game this week. What has this world come to? Oh, and would you guys like a video of my shit? I've seen some of those...

I guess I'm just a sap for this kind of stuff. Came across this on YouTube and decided to share. Definitely worth your time if you love Mario Kart (who doesn't?) and acoustic music.

Ok, so the first one isn't so much a pick-up, but I definitely moved my PC out onto my TV. 37" of WoW ;) The rest are pretty standard. I'm loving the new 120GB 360 HDD. $89.98 clearance at work. If anyone wants the files off of the Chrono Trigger soundtrack, feel free to shoot me a PM.

The Good Great sense of motion and fluidity . The game is fantastic when you successfully hit jump after jump. Some of the moves you can pull off are bad ass, and once you hit a groove you'll feel unstoppable. Great visuals . The simple colors work really well, and look great against the white. A lot of the rooms and situations look the same, but they all have different ways of being handled an...

Just stopped in at my local GameCrazy to see what they had (I never stop by) and Ico was front and center for $6.40.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion holds a very special place in my heart for a number of different reasons, and I know comparing Bethesda's latest release to said game is a tired introduction so I'll simply say that it's impossible to play one without comparing it to the other. The controls are the same (aside from one button, which can be changed) and many of the mechanics are the same. In all ho...

The CycloDS cart is nice, and I'll have the beginning of my October pick-ups up soon, and expect lots of pictures at the end of the month. It's gonna be crazy!

I can't really say that I've ever really been good at a Mega Man game, but god damn...

...who has WAY too much fun playing "Living on a Prayer" in Rock Band? I'm glad to see it's World Tour as well.

Apparently I spend more on games in a month than some people do on food... :| Also, boo @ the orange bar on the Hotel Dusk box. Why the hell would you put that there?

Now I know that everyone enjoys bashing on Spore because horns didn't play and Jesus didn't personally come down to play with people who bought it, and so far, I love Spore. It's everything it should be. But I do have a problem. I'm in the Tribal Stage (mind you, school has been quite the load lately), and I've chosen the Carnivore/Predtor/Etc path, and I go off to attack the first village, suc...

Finally found the Zelda: Collectors Edition at GameStop, and Baten Kaitos was $10, so I decided to pick it up. Also, I'm a huge Office fan, so season 4 was a no-brainer. Oh, and the MacBook Pro was a birthday gift. I still had to shell out the money for the mouse, because I couldn't stand the trackpad.

Woo. The RE4 tin is awesome, but it does say GameStop on the front...

Due to epic amounts of school work, I decided to return Too Human to work and focus on the task at hand. If you really want my opinion on that game, it is as follows: It's not very good. It's not terrible by any means, but it sure as hell ain't good . Still unopened... But an interesting thing happened to me when I went into the store. But first, a very small amount of back story; I like buying...

Let me start off by saying that I wasn't a huge fan of the demo. I couldn't stand the camera and the combat was just boring to no end. Still, I decided to check a copy out from work to see what would happen if I spent more time with the game. Don't even get me started... So far, not much has changed. I'll go through portions of the game where I feel like "Oh, well it looks like this game isn't...

I enjoy writing. It's always been one of my passions. I enjoy writing short stories, scripts, the occasional review and essentially anything that lets me hear the clickity-clack of my keyboard. But as any writer knows, you have zero control over the people who read your story. They're may get an entirely different experience out of the story than you may have originally intended. As much as you...

...this kid is a fucking tool. Dropping out of school to play Guitar Hero? That's wrong for so many reasons. Let me copy and paste my response to this thread. I'm sorry, but this is fucking retarded. Not only are these people terrible parents, but this kid is so near-sighted as well. Guitar Hero becoming less popular on the side, "professional" gamers make very little money in the first place,...

I downloaded Braid today thinking that 1,200 point for a game with six world was a little steep and after playing through the game a time and a half, I still agree with that statement, but you get exactly what you pay for. While it may only last a few hours, it's like sticking your head out from under the covers after being under for a while; so damn refreshing. Dinosaur = character of the year...

So I'll admit, I took a lot of tech classes over the last few years at my high school, and it seems in every class the majority of the class is playing one of two games during downtime. They're either playing Line Rider or N+ . Admittedly, I played neither, as I either screwed around on digg or spent my time playing this . N+ Anyways, since I had to bring my copy of Soul Calibur IV back to work...

Yes, large breasts you skeevy perverts. Finished my Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 review today. Two things about that. Suck at this game, you do. I love me some Geometry Wars. I'm really looking forward to getting a couple more achievements out of that game (I'm looking at you Wax On & Treaty), as well as getting some higher high scores. I'm have the highest scores out of my friends, but then...

Here. I nearly messed up the spelling on the tag-line. Man, would that have sucked. It's a little on the short side, but since it's a remake, I kind of saw that coming. Next week, I'll be playing and blogging through Soul Calibur IV for the Xbox 360. Should be fun.

Final Fantasy IV - DS At this point, I'm really just getting down some points for my review coming Monday (I promise). If I could, I'd give the game a 3.5* score, but since I've decided to take a page out of the Giant Bomb book, I'm trying to stick with full *'s. It's odd deciding whether the game has qualities that would push it back to 3*'s or if good enough to deserve 4. Only time will tell....

Final Fantasy IV - DS Sorry guys, not much Final Fantasy IV was played today. I was working most of the day, not to mention I woke up late since my shift started at one. Still, when I got home I managed to play through a boss battle, and even though two of my characters died, I still managed to get through it without too much trouble. Looks like I need to (auto) grind some more. Also, I haven't...

Final Fantasy IV - DS You know, I'm really starting to like this auto-battle. Now that I've tweaked the setting so that they'd fight like I would if I were giving input, I can really just sit back and relax. It's gotten to the point where I really enjoy having the game do the fighting for me. It's not that I'm lazy, or that I all-together hate fighting in RPG's. No, it's not that at all. I've p...
