First, let's return to the topic of Likes /Yeahs on the site. As Chuck indicated in a prior announcement, you can like or yeah lists, reviews, and user articles on the site and this is incredibly helpful in keeping user-content forward facingin the background. If you want the button to go from "Liked" to "Yeah" go to https://giantbomb.com/profile and on the bottom right near Time Preferences there's a toggle.

Nonetheless, this does lead us to a current initiative where we really want all of you to check out user lists, reviews, and articles and for everyone to take the time to like at least a few you enjoyed on the home portals for those features, which are:

Again, even if you just glance over what is on these pages for just a few minutes, show some love and approval for things that make you say "Wow!" and if you really have the time to make the day of our community members, drop a comment on some of the features you enjoyed reading!

Speaking of the site, the page for This Day In GB History is new and improved! After being AWOL for a bit, the feature should be fully functioning on this page as well on the front page for anyone wanting to take a Giant Bomb-based trip down memory lane.

A quick fix that Chuck deployed last week that impacts lists involves a bug a few users reported. A lot of people noticed that when going to "User Lists" on the main site and then List Type: Standard" changing the format to "Full," "Grid," and "Compact" didn't do anything. Chuck located the issue and it turned out to be a memory leak and they were able to deploy a patch.

In far more exciting new, there's NEW GIANT BOMB MERCH! Alongside the pinball week merch, there's a new Giant Bomb Video Hoodie as well as a Giant Bomb Video Halloween Shirt! Many thanks to Jearum for making the design for these and don't forget that they are open to commissions on their ko-fi page! Nonetheless, here are the links to the new merch for those that are interested:

Once again, in case you missed it last week, the big news is that on October 15th and 16th from noon to midnight Eastern, on each day, The Giant Bombathon is BACK and will be LIVE AND IN-PERSON! For those of you that missed it last year or have forgotten, The Giant Bombathon is a sub/Premium raising stream that drums up support for the site and its staff and usually has donation incentives that commit the staff into new features and Premium-only programming. What's sorts of hilarious mishaps will the staff get into this time? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain, on the 16th of October, Merry Kish has already been confirmed as a guest.

The Giant Bombathon Returns

Are your READY?!?!?!

Finally, huge props to Grubb for slaying his nemesis: Cyberdillo. The Blight Club for that game is now officially tied with Daikatana for the longest season of Blight Club and Grubb is now clearly at the top of the list as the staff member who has played a game for Blight Club the longest. But it seems like he's not the only person haunted by the specter of Mike Minotti as Tamoor of GameSpot also seems to be blighted in that regard as well.

Video/Clip of the Week

Dan Lowrider Minigame (By: Pugtato)

Huge props to Giant Bomb user Pugtato for making this HILARIOUS video where they merged last week's clip of Dan hitching a ride in a lowrider while a lowrider minigame plays out on the bottom of the screen.

My Top Twenty Favorite Games I've Played This Year (By: doubledaddydan)

doubledaddydan looked at the games that were still set to come out in 2026 and decided there wasn't anything that spoke to them the way these games on their 2026 GOTY list did. If that sentiment applies to you, consider joining them in publishing a Game of the Year list when you have the time.

User Reviews

Rock Band Blitz

The end is finally here with linksocarina's journey to play every single Rock Band and Guitar Hero game.

There's a new Castlevania game coming up and that was reason enough for Giant Bomb user mrsensible to check out Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Read why they don't think the game has aged all that well.

emnii decided to reboot Wolfenstein: Youngblood and that inspired them to write a review on why they're still amazed at how badly Arkane and MachineGames could miss the mark on such a solid premise

aquaticas finally got around to playing Wanderstop and shares in their review on Giant Bomb why they overall enjoyed the game even if they felt like its insistence on "unstructured rest" bothered them.

After sinking 75 hours into the game, maxloubaresse briefly reviews why they don't recommend Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Be it the characters, the grind-heavy gameplay, or even the technical unevenness of the game, they weren't impressed.

philodendron's review of OG God of War relays why they think the game hasn't aged as timelessly as some people claim and how the puzzles in the game are a real pain in the ass, all things considered.

linksocarina has finally crossed the finish line when it comes to reviewing every single Rock Band and Guitar Hero in chronological release order. With that in mind, let's give them a round of applause for their tireless work on the site and if you want them to check out Rocksmith, drop a comment in one of their reviews linked below!

Grubberdillo The End

But seriously, where were you when Grubb finally beat Cyberdillo?
