Too Human Impressions: Day 1

Let me start off by saying that I wasn't a huge fan of the demo. I couldn't stand the camera and the combat was just boring to no end. Still, I decided to check a copy out from work to see what would happen if I spent more time with the game. Don't even get me started... So far, not much has changed. Let me start off by saying that I wasn't a huge fan of the demo. I couldn't stand the camera and the combat was just boring to no end. Still, I decided to check a copy out from work to see what would happen if I spent more time with the game.

Don't even get me started...So far, not much has changed. I'll go through portions of the game where I feel like "Oh, well it looks like this game isn't so bad after all." and in the next portion of that game, that feeling is completely replaced by frustration. Just when the camera is starting to figure out what's going on, it spins around and leaves me staring at the wall, away from the action. Just as I'm getting into the groove of combat, I start swinging or shooting at nothing even though there are five or so enemies nearby. Not to mention, when I reached the first boss, there didn't really seem to be much of a strategy, and if there was one, it wasn't apparent in the least bit. Same with the larger enemies that you must kill by going behind them and pressing A. There was no prompt telling me that. I had to figure that out on my own, and it's not like it was common knowledge.

Something tells me this whole experience will just be back and forth. It seems that every time I want to like the game, it slaps me on the wrist and shows it's true colors.

Also, who's idea was it to devote an entire button to showing off the character's face? That's not necessary in the least bit, especially not in a combat-heavy game.
