At this point, we've pretty much seen all we can see from the survival horror genre. If you like the games, you'll love Dead Space. This game is easily the most polished survival horror game on the market. The visuals are amazing, and EA really struck gold by losing the HUD. The audio does a great job of enhancing the atmosphere (or lack thereof) in the game, pulling you deeper into the madness. There may be more and a few parts (namely shooting space debris) that will have you screaming angrily at the TV, but overall, the good parts WAYYYYYY outnumber these.
If you don't like survival horror, you won't like this. If you kinda like it sometimes, but are on the fence about whether to give it another shot...get this game.
