ACE Team make weird games and Rock of Ages is certainly one of them. Part racing game, part tower defense , there simply isn't much else like it. For the sequel, ACE Team might have played it safe with a few tweaks to the formula, a new campaign, and few more robust multiplayer options but it still stands out as a mix of action, strategy, and eccentric British humor. Song of the Deep from Insomniac Games looks great, sounds great, and controls well enough but somehow manages to be less than the sum of its parts.
