Look, domestic abuse is a real issue and one that Out There: Omega Edition from Mi-Clos Studio doesn't address at all. But, if, like me, FTL is a former lover of yours, then Out There is the abusive rebound you probably convinced yourself was the best you could do after the break up. Both contain a lot of the same qualities: there's the space-themed roguelike, the 2D spaceship cut-aways, the modular narrative structure, but where Out There sets itself apart the most is its brutality.
