Massive Chalice represents the marriage of two great concepts: Turn-based Strategy and an ancestry system. The former will be familiar to fans of XCOM and Fire Emblem where the latter isn't quite as well-represented. The only example that comes to mind being Rogue Legacy, but the basics are easily understandable: Pair your heroes together and they will have children who are a combination of their parents classes, skills, and traits.
