As a long time fan of the series, I want to hate this game, but I can't, because it only leaves me feeling empty. This isn't Splinter Cell, it's something else entirely... Something that's dumbed-down so much that it plays like a cover shooter with token stealth. Something that treats the player like a child, never lets go of your hand, and thinks "aiming and shooting" is an aspect of gameplay that needs to be simplified. Something that constantly values style over substance, has a ridiculous tone shift, and butchers all the characters. It's a shallow and painfully mediocre game, that couldn't possibly be any better because its entire premise was a mistake.
