Blizzard entertainment's first FPS Overwatch, FPS weren't something that got me hooked because a lot of them were too violent, not very colorful, and boring to me because you just shoot a gun and that's how you win levels n stuff. Overwatch is a different beast and is the opposite of not colorful, too violent and just shooting a gun. Overwatch has it's own tone to it for it's cartoonish effects, simple objectives, and nothing violent but online gameplay.
This game has 4 different types of hero classes, Offense, Defense, Tank, and Support. Offense heroes are suppose to get in really close to enemies to deal massive damage but have the lowest health bar. Defense snipe or make traps around the objective but aren't very effective doing Offense and aren't used as much as the other classes. Tanks either protect the objective or get in real close to other enemies and have the largest health but are very big targets that are easy to shoot. Supports heal and give teammates special effects like increase speed, add extra health, increase damage, etc. but can be easy to take down and have low health bars. The objective is either a 2 out of 2 game, push the payload to the point, or stay in an area to take over to get to another area to take over once you cleared and took over the previous area.
Overwatch also has holiday season events like summer, Halloween, Christmas, uprising, etc. that adds more charm to the game but have their own exclusive costumes, highlight intros, sprays, etc. inside of loot boxes, loot boxes are earned when you level up or win games in the arcade and when you get a box you can open it up and get different skins, costumes, voices, sprays, victory poses, highlight intros, etc. Overwatch is pretty simple once you get into it and can be quiet addicting when you play online and win games to get more prizes in loot boxes. It's a fun, unique FPS that even a kid can play since FPS's are very mainstream and are very popular video games in todays culture, Overwatch isn't "everyone's game" but it certainly is a fantastic game.
