I am used to playing multiplayer games but I recalled a time in my younger years where I would hide away and play the popular horrors genres such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. I wanted to step back to this single player games and get lost in the lore and story of a new horror game. With a quick search of the Xbox One store I found this little gem.

I was a bit puzzled with this game at first at it seemed to be on rails and no real understanding of what was going on or my objective. I quickly realized that it was up to me to figure out what was really going on and why I was at “The Park”. This is a short game with many scary point points that keep you moving through the shadows looking for more.

As far as games mechanics go this game really had none, it was more of a on rails game where you follow a linear path and experience the story. This is exactly what I was looking for and it met my full expectations.

I never truly understood what was going on until the end where I go the “Ah ha” moment, roll credits. I thought the ending was clever and built up nicely.

If you’re looking for a quick horror atmospheric game (interactive movie), then this game is for you. If you’re looking to for a first person shooter / puzzle game, then you’re in the wrong place.

I am very happy to have played it. Hope others find this game enjoying as well.
