R.I.P. Soul series 1995-2006

I've been a huge fan of the Soul series since Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast. But ever since Daishi Odishima took over, the series went downhill from there and Soul Calibur V is yet another abomination of both a Soul series game and a fighting game itself, besides Soul Calibur IV, that it's not even funny. The new team behind this game butchered everything about what made the first four Soul series games great from the characters to the storyline, and of course the gameplay so much that it's a disgrace to the Soul series. Most of the new characters are clones of fan favorite characters that were removed for no reason(most of them were female which makes this game horribly sexist against women, not to mention racist as well), with only 3 of them being unique and none of the new characters are likable at all, not to mention there are three mimic characters which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Also, certain modes such as the aforementioned Museum and side modes have been removed for no reason, thus making the game barebones in content compared the the first four games in the series(Soul Edge/Blade and Soul Caliburs I-III). Also, the character animations in this game are incredibly choppy and are downright ugly to look at compared to the previous games in the series. Not to mention the AI in this game is absolutely frustrating and is the worst I've ever seen since Dead or Alive 4 on the Xbox 360. In short, this game is more proof Namco doesn't care about it's fans these nowadays and only made this game to prey on innocent victims' wallets. If you're a true Soul series fan like I am, stick with Soul Edge/Blade and Soul Caliburs I-III instead. This game, along with Soul Calibur IV, was so bad that I threw my copy away in the trash where it belonged.

R.I.P. Jin Okubo, as a director. You'll be missed greatly.:(
