When I first heard of this game I was like yes! they're remaking SOTN and finally releasing the original version of Rondo of blood (not caring about the rondo remake since I hate all 2.5d remakes) But alas another PSP game that would have been better as a less ""updated"" remake.
Graphics: what can I say its just 2.5d graphics I would much rather have preferred new sprite based graphics in the old 2d instead of quasi 3d like graphics which added nothing to the game.
Sound: gets a pretty good score in my opinion all the originals are here and much clearer then before remade like they should have been voice acting is lame and stupid as all ways and not in a good way like say original resident evil one lame, I mean seriously i would think they could learn from they're mistakes and actually pay some voice actors instead of getting people from around the office, Listening to maria at any point makes me want to kill my self on SOTN.
Gameplay: just like the original the controls...are spotty and they all ways have been oddly enough earlier titles in the castlevania series we're vastly better then rondo of blood and it seems this remake has inherited that games spotty controls.
Replay value: its there but only because they forced it into there, getting sound track ok...But I have to find the original games to unlock them? looks to me like they just added this in cause they knew people wouldn't play the game and just opt to play SOTN and the original ROB.
Summary: this game would have been VASTLY better if they had just remade the sprites and 2d graphics and sound of the original games instead of this....bad game...and they couldn't even do that right, SOTN isn't worthwhile if you have the original game, or even the xbox version then get that or play that.
This game wasn't remade right they left out all the Saturn stuff which was in the works for the ps1 version originally any ways they had no reason to keep it out, voice acting is just as bad if not worse then the original the only good thing being they redid allot of text based script.
All together not a worthwhile purchase.
