mccarron: Best of 2009
I haven't played all the games that have come out this year, but in order of my favorites I have listed my top 10 here. I imagine this would be a harder to compile list had I played some of the more recent releases like New Super Mario Bros Wii, Assassins Creed 2 or Left 4 Dead 2. If I get a chance to sit down with those games before the end of the year, I'll adjust my list.

I rank this the highest, only because it was a fairly original concept and story. My other two favorites, Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2, are sequels to already great games. This game was a risk, that paid off greatly.
It's Modern Warfare 2, even better than the first game and even more fun than the first.
I played the first one earlier this year before picking up this game, you really can't deny how awesome this game is. A very cinematic experience from one end to the other.
Hands down the best downloadable "arcade" title I've ever played. I'd easily give this game another $15 of my money, I hope they make more!
I hadn't heard about this game at all before release, but word of mouth convinced me to check it out. I'm glad I did.

As a fan of the franchise from the start, I loved this game through and through. I just wish there was more to it.
The DLC for Fallout 3, my favorite game of 2008, is also the most anticipated DLC I've ever had. Combined together all DLC packs earn a spot on my list.
I've heavily enjoyed this game whenever I've gotten a chance to play it. Not to mention it's setup is fairly groundbreaking in many respects.
