Aurora was Walt Disney's third and final princess in his lifetime. Like Snow White and Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty was a box office success. Perhaps it was because of the vibrant artwork.

Like Ariel before her, Belle is a favorite of many Millennials and Generation Xers. This princess almost won Best Picture.
Jasmine is the first Disney Princess of color and, like Ariel and Belle, is a favorite among Generation Xers and Millennials. She was a stepping stone for exotic princesses.
Pocahontas came three years after the success of Aladdin. She is the first Disney Princess based on a historical figure.
Mulan was the last of the Disney Renaissance Princess, as well as the last of the Founding Eight. She was based on an ancient Chinese poem.

Rapunzel is the first CGI princess and the second Second Renaissance princess. Rumors have it that she is a first cousin of Elsa and Anna (as seen in Frozen).
