Overview

In many games the player encounters and often joins a clandestine 'resistance' movement whose aim is to destabilize and overthrow a usually corrupt governing body or foreign invader. Unfortunately, sometimes these revolutionaries reveal themselves to be no better than their enemies.

Examples include the Sons of Korhal in Starcraft, the Dolotai Guardians in Outcast (Game), the dissidents in LBA 2, the Lost Souls Alliance in Grim Fandango (Game), the IRIS Network in Beyond Good andamp;amp;amp; Evil, and particularly the antagonists in nearly every Metal Gear (Franchise) game.
