Terry Malloy
CHARACTER
A Sea Bee dock worker in Grim Fandango and eventual organizer of a Sea Bee labor revolt.

Terry Malloy is a minor character in the 1998 LucasArts adventure game Grim Fandango. He is a Sea Bee, a kind of spirit or demon in the Land of the Dead that resembles an anthropomorphic bee; these creatures can be found at Rubacava's shipyards. Sea Bees are tasked with transporting cargo and constructing new ships, but they must be card-carrying union members to do so. Even as union members, most Sea Bees are forced to pay extortion fees to union bosses in order to actually work at the docks, a frustrating situation which Terry explains to Manny Calavera (Character) in chapter two. Terry knows that he and his fellow Sea Bees are being exploited, but he lacks the words to properly express his ideas. Manny eventually gives Terry those words in the form of a revolutionary written treatise on labor rights, inspiring Terry to lead the other Sea Bees in a labor strike. Chief Bogen soon arrives at the docks and arrests Terry for expressing his "red" ideologies, leading Manny to coerce local lawyer Nick Virago into representing Terry in court. Once freed, Terry and the other Sea Bees resume their strike, which allows Manny to fetch the Sea Bees' discarded power tools for Glottis' use aboard the SS Limbo.
