My Collection

This is my collection of video games. Included are stories about what I thought about the games and whatnot. The games are sorted by the release of the console and then alphabetically. Many of them won't have interesting stories as I haven't played a lot, but when I do get around to playing a game I'll update the description.

List items

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this but I do have an old Game Informer mag where this game was the cover story and they reviewed it, giving it a 9-something. Can't see it being that great but I hear all these "older" people saying how good it is.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this game new from Wal-Mart, probably around 2005 or 2006. Enjoyed the game quite well and got pretty far. I was always way more into Pokemon but did like Digimon, this was my first experience in the game realm. Might go back and try to beat this but I remember the game requiring a lot of grinding, not that there's anything wrong with that.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but have always wanted to try one of these games.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Probably won't play this.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Another one of my early PS1 games, played a bit when I first got it but this just isn't my thing.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this late summer of 2008 while at a retro gaming convention with a friend, we both bought copies. Played about 15 hours into it and just stopped. If I played it when it came out I probably would've loved it, but playing it all these years later for the first time can't help me. Will try and beat it though, at the very least to say I have.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet. Bought a copy that doesn't have a manual and I'm a big stickler about "collecting" so I never even fired it up.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. One of my early PS1 games, haven't played it much.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Really liked this game. It was also one of my first PS1 games and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Haven't beaten it, probably should. Have played a bit of co-op with a friend and that was fun as well; there's just a lot of stuff in this game.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in the summer of 2009. Have played this once with a friend but we only played it like twenty minutes. We had already played through two other shooters and at this point we were getting hungry so that was it for this. Need to go back and play it some more/beat it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't sunk much time into this as I had already played a ton of GT4 when I got this.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Just bought this (2/15/2010) as I'm putting it in after getting home from the store. Pumped that I found a copy cause I loved Grandia II; hopefully I'll like this as well.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Only played this a few times but really enjoyed it. Was made by the Metal Slug team and I've always loved the style of those games and this one shares that kind of art style. Need to go back and beat it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this off of eBay in the summer of 2009 and haven't tried it yet.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this from a garage sale for a dollar and I think the disc is too scratched to play.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Nothing like a good jigsaw game on my video game console. Actually have played a bit of this and I believe it's made by Nippon Ichi Software. My thoughts: http://mybrainongames.com/2011/09/30/jigsaw-madness-review/

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played this a bit when I first got it and it is weird. Really wanna play it some more but I think I'll do it with another person, it's not multiplayer but it will be cooler to talk about it. My thoughts: http://mybrainongames.com/2011/12/02/juggernaut-review/

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but played through Space Griffon VF-9 which is just like it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Kind of enjoy these old light gun games but every time I play one I like them less and less. Me and a friend played through the first but haven't tackled the second yet.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. I remember I bought MGS2 and then before playing thought, I'll go play through the first one before I play MGS2. One of my favorite PS1 games, thought it was a total rush the whole time, kind of wanting to play it again.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Actually had this before I had any of the MGS games, bought it at a pawn shop with my dad. Haven't beaten it but I've played through a lot of the game and I have a guide for it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Don't think I've played this yet but I bet it will have a decent soundtrack, right?

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but got the songs off of it, weird that it's The Crystal Method, maybe that game will be good.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in summer of 2009 off of eBay, it came in a bundle of six sports games for a dollar.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but might give it a spin since it's the first.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Actually bought this yesterday (12/19/2009) and as a result haven't gotten that chance to play it yet. The name enticed me into buying it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this April 28, 2010. Have always looked forward to playing this.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Wait... Polyphony Digital made a game besides Gran Turismo? Actually really want to play this but when I bought it off of eBay in summer of 2009 it came factory sealed... so I probably will buy another copy.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. One of the first PS1 games I bought, played it pretty far in but never beat it. Really enjoy although I think the game is terrible, it's very weird. Will go back and beat it, the page here is awesome btw.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet, another game I bought with the sports bundle off of eBay.

  • Have it complete for the PlayStation. Just bought this in early April from a friend.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Saw a video about this game before I bought it and though it looked cool. Really enjoyed it, another of the early PS1 games I owned, bought it at a pawn shop.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in late summer 2009, have the "big box" version and played it a bit, thought this version was pretty bad.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't beaten this yet but played through a good majority of it in co-op. Was kind of crazy, but I like this type of game.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. I believe this was the first RR game I played (not counting R: Racing Evolution) and I really enjoyed it. Put a lot of time into it but never finished it, could see myself going back and playing some more of it though.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played through all few hours of this and after getting used to the controls really enjoyed it. I find it weird that I liked it so much so I'm thinking I need to play it again and maybe change my opinion of it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in the fall of 2009 and played it pretty recently after getting it with a friend and thought it was mediocre; I was coming off of Sega Rally Revo and thought it would be different. Will go play a bit more and maybe beat it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but it looks kinda neat, will wait to play it in multiplayer most likely.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Wow, I had to get this game after reading the back of the case. Played the first little bit with a friend and man have games come a long way in such a short amount of time. Will definitely play through it, but the gameplay seems a little poor, story seems crazy though.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in November or December of 2009 and haven't played it yet, kinda waiting to Saga Frontier first.

  • Have it complete for the Playstation. Just bought this a few days ago (10/27/10) and haven't had the chance to play it yet. Looks interesting, but possibly poor, an American JRPG...

  • Have it complete for the PS1. This game looks really shoddy and I haven't played it yet but I'll give it a whirl.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. This game on the other hand seems really cool. I've only played 10-15 minutes of it but it seems like it's be on XBLA or PSN. Will play this some more.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played this for 5 minutes with a friend and can't make a judgement on it yet. Love Working Designs and Treasure so I'll definitely give this a chance.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this yet but this looks like it might be kind of poor.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played this a fair amount of damn it is poor. Really am compelled to finish it sometime though. Played some multiplayer with a friend and that was fun... not.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Actually played through all of this on a whim and kind of enjoyed it. Not really one for this type of first person mech game but found the story to be incredibly weird, gameplay wasn't so hot.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't given this a shot yet but man, there were a lot of Spec Ops games, and as I'm writing this, it's been a few weeks since Activision announced the reboot.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Remember buying this in Branson, Missouri and then finding out the game was poor, at least I got it from a bargain bin.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. One of my pretty early PS1 games and I know that it isn't that great but I had lots of fun playing it. Probably enjoyed the soundtrack more than the game, I remember taking a CD player to school and listening to it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Haven't played this.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. What the hell is going on!? Played this with a friend and for the few minutes we tried it, I though it was crap, but then again I only payed two dollars for it.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. The only TM game I have and one of my early PS1 games, I have really enjoyed it and was halfway surprised; cool soundtrack as well.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. This game blew me away, I went in expecting nothing and was greatly surprised. Beat it in a few sittings as it is only a few hours but the gameplay and graphics were great. One of my only complaints is the weird segments where you're walking around the home ship and the controls blow, like these parts, just not the controls.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Just bought this (2/15/2010) as I'm putting it in after getting home from the store. Bought the original big box version.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in summer of 2009 and played a bit to just check it out with a friend and was surprised at how good the production values were for the time. Haven't played enough of i to render a judgement but do intend to play it more.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played about half of this and thought it was very good, haven't beaten it but I want to.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Bought this in the summer of 2009 and thought it was going to be pretty great but was sorely disappointed, why will I never learn that Xevious games aren't good. I like the game but was expecting more.

  • Have it complete for the PS1. Played this quite a bit with a friend and thought this game was pretty legit, definitely one of the best trivia games.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Remember playing this game over at my cousins when I was younger and also renting it. Finally bought it a handful of years ago and love it still.

  • Have it loose for the N64. I remember renting this or Banjo-Tooie when I was a kid, think it was BT. Have played this a bit but nowhere near enough to beat it. Kind of want to but think I might just get the XBLA version if I go for it.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Remember renting this as a kid and playing it over a cousins house. Bought this when I was in middle school and like many of my N64 games, still love it.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this is the late summer of 2009 and played it recently with a friend and thought it was poor, then again we only played it for five or so minutes.

  • Have it complete for the N64. One of the first things I ever bought off of eBay. I remember getting it along with the Nintendo Player's Guide and was like what? The dude was late on shipping it and threw it in, thanks! Haven;t played much of it but might play through it in co-op.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Haven't played this.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this after I had played though the bundle of the GC. The first time I played it was with that bundle, the pre-order bonus for Wind Waker. This is one my favorite games of all time though if I played it now I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. I played it when I was just getting into games seriously. Love this game so much.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Think I've played this.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Haven't played this.

  • Have it complete for the N64. This and Rogue Squadron were my first N64 games, got them on the Christmas I got my N64. A game that me and my sister have played tons, and we'll even play it every now and then.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this sometime and have played a few races of it. It's a solid game but got this when I had already moved on from the N64.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Rented this as a kid and later bought it when Blockbuster was moving onto the next generation. Don't think I've played this a lot in recent memory but need to, it's be fun multiplayer.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this in November of 2009 and haven't played it yet.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Think I've played this.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Found a complete copy of this game early in 2011 and played a bunch of it but it was too hard for me to complete. My thoughts: http://mybrainongames.com/2011/05/25/ogre-battle-64-person-of-lordly-caliber-first-impressions/

  • Have it complete for the N64. Love this game and probably helped me fall in love with RPGs. Such a cool game, playing through this again would be cool, might do it.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Played through this in one or two sittings. Thought the game was good just too short. Remember checking out those displays in Blockbuster where you could print off stickers and I also remember buying it when the GameStop came into my town.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Remember getting this new and destroying the package to check out the Game Boy adapter, wish I didn't do that now. Played this a lot and loved that I could play my GB Pokemon games on my TV and at a faster speed no less.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Bought this from a friend in high school for a buck. I halfway enjoy it but considering this is one of the few options for an RPG on the N64... I choose PS1 for RPGs easily. Haven't beat it but I want to.

  • Have it loose for the N64. I know that everyone and their dog considers this the best Star Fox but I played it after playing most of the others and am not as fond of it. I personally love Assault more but this is probably my second or third favorite. I've played through it at least once and have played some multiplayer.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Loved this when I played through it around 2006. Played it recently with a friend and it stills alright but didn't seem to hold up, however one of us was playing with a halfway broken controller.

  • Have it loose for the N64. One of the first games that I really got into and beat. I remember getting it in a bundle with Mario Kart 64 when I got my N64 one Christmas. Love this game, love the sequels, a true classic.

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this in December 2009 and haven't played it yet. Looking forward to it, I've always heard people talk about it although a lot of it is that it doesn't hold up...

  • Have it complete for the N64. Bought this in late 2009 and played a death match or two with a friend and thought it was pretty decent. Played a bit of the first Turok on the N64 and loved Evolution so I might play through this some time.

  • Have it loose for the N64. Haven't played this, tried to play with a friend although the game didn't work when we tried it.
