    Overview

    Jason is the heroic figure in the ancient Greek legend of the Argonauts; a band of heroes and warriors whom he led in his quest to find the Golden Fleece. Among his allies were such figures as Heracles (a.k.a. Hercules), Orpheus, Perseus, Bellerophon, and numerous others. Jason's required the fleece in order to free his cousin Pelias, the ruler of Iolcus, from the haunting of the ghost of Phrixus.
