There is, however, the continual revelation of spyware-level "bugs" that keep being discovered. First it was the anti-cheat service that continued to run after the game was shut down. They patched that so it only is installed while the game is running. Then it looks like the game takes a look at the contents of your clipboard when it starts up.

I was going to give the game another chance but I really don't think I want to even bother now. Maybe if it was a real game and not an excuse to print money via gacha mechanics.

Ok but like, setting aside that first paragraph(not discounting, just let's put that in a box while we talk about something else), it IS a real game and even better than most if you define most as the shit on steam etc every day and they deserve money at some point, yes? Not saying gacha is my preferred method, or even second favorite, but that's a pretty bad faith argument.

I'm having a lot of fun. The controller inputs on pc are not good, hoping for remap options. I'm playing on keyboard and mouse which is not what I want to be using for third person action, but the controls are mostly fine except for camera movement up/down. It's gorgeous, I love the music, looking at later talents and different characters only excites me as what else I can do in combat late game but I'm already enjoying it fairly early on. Hope some issues get cleaned up like controls, stuttering, unlocking framerate etc.

I would love to throw small amounts of money at the game in the future for stuff, pure gacha pulls aren't my thing though when it comes to real money because I feel like that's endless(it is); rather have a battle pass or 5-10$ premium monthly thing etc.

LG C9 here.

Honestly, for a forward looking TV, look for HDR, freesync/gsync capability(and higher refresh rates than 60), hdmi 2.1, obviously 4k, and whatever size and screen type you prefer.

I love my c9. It's an oled screen with great hdr, 120hz screen, auto low latency, hdmi 2.1 support when I get a new GPU and presumably new consoles that can use it. Best display I've owned by far, but yeah it was costly.

@tmart: For sure I liked the ps2 games atleast. Lament of Innocence has some great songs, fun enough combat and powers though I remember the levels/rooms being pretty bad and back tracky. The other one that escapes me at the moment was fun in a grindy way cause of the summons or whatever they were, but I never beat that game. I don't remember much of it besides being fun to use the systems they gave you.

I definitely never understoond Lament of Innocence hate until I played more and better action games of the time. I still don't think it was bad comparatively, but worse than the better action ones and not the open free form of something like SotN (or tight BS levels of early games). Like not pleasing any fan on the ends of the spectrum for sure.

Why can't you just dislike a thing people like?

I found the show good but not perfect, but that's still much higher than what I thought it could've been. After going back and playing hearts of stone, with blood and wine waiting, I find it hard to think I'll ever like the show more. Hearts of Stone was phenominal even if playing it was the usual ok.

The only thing expansions really give you at the beginning is the new races. You can’t unlock new classes until you get there in the story(heavensward classes) or get to the appropriate level(50-Stormblood 60-shadowbringers). Otherwise it’ll be content that’s locked behind you doing the story, as is everything really.

@onemanarmyy: That's my guess on it.

I was using psprices to track ps4vr game prices because I hadn't bothered ever looking till I got a headset end of last year. I wanted Rhombus of Ruin(just beat it, it's neat! not must play though) and it was on sale for 15$ at one point from 20 after getting my headset, BUT, it HAD been on sale for 4$ before so I waited; it hit 4$ again, I bought it.

Seems like the same deal here. They don't want to lower the price of what their game is valued at in the eyes of consumers too early or too harsh.

I want Asura's Wrath and El Shaddai as...honestly, a pc release; that way you can possibly mod, reshade, config anything ya want and run it at possibly any res/framerate combination too.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that the frame rate wasn't that bad with the 150-200 hours that I spent with the PS3 version. Clearly PC, PS4 and X1 versions are top in that regard, but the OG versions are still playable.

Ok playable, but in 2019? The ps3 version? Like would you even bother?
