I just built a new pc a few weeks ago. I was going to get one, thinking as you were, woah new HD tech! I didn't. They're faster, but most of that fast speed seems to be from transferring massive (single)files back and forth and when I looked at enough benchmarks they didn't seem worth it to me right now. So I can't give you my experience on it, just maybe check and see if what it does better actually matters to you.

I guess furthermore, just get a bigger good sata SSD for a separate game drive.

I played very little solo, the challenges were like 70% done for me when I got there. I was doing some side missions and contract stories but not all of them up to that point. You can get revive challenges in missions where npc freelancers go down.

I don't remember what the combo challenge is you're talking about, is it literally just combo enemies or a certain number of them? Comboing with yourself is exceptionally easy with colossus and storm. I'm sure it's the same with the other 2 suits I just don't have as much experience with it.

@mike: Destiny was lacking in content but the general gameplay was fun and satisfying even at launch - people were hooked on playing what little was there to the point of standing outside a cave and shooting into it for hours. Anthem doesn’t seem to have any hooks, it’s all just flat.

I mean that's not fair, every game has it's hooks into someone, it depends how many when it comes to a game like this that determines what matters. If it has enough people playing, we get more cash shop crap and content, if not, the game is done with updates in 9-12 months; forever.

@efesell: I dunno, I read about that mod just now after your post and it seems like almost every other rpg "rebalance mod" I ever see: Someone with too much time and too many ideas to usually makes everything harder and more "tactical"(slower) for no other reason than they want to feel challenged themselves from a game they've probably beaten 50 times. Limit character abilities, stats, levels, what they can learn, make ai harder, make normal battles take longer, be more difficult. I just feel like I don't need that for FFVI or most of the games I see these types of mods for. I also don't like that there are script changes in that mod.

The mod reads as "oh interesting" to me at first but seemed to only get more annoying changes the more I read that it did.

The damage IS combined when you hit something, I don’t see where anyone said different? It’s just that elemental damage is really bad and is weak and generally unhelpful compared to elementless jewel(and raw damage in general) in most cases.

If your weapon is doing elemental damage, elementless will not work. If you use free element, the elementless jewel does nothing.

@crayzor: like I said, if the element is grey, it does NOT do elemental damage; it only will if you use free element skills to unlock it. Divine slasher has better raw with the gem and white sharpness. Sharpness dictates what you bounce off of AND damage. Every color higher of sharpness is a higher multiplier for damage. If you want super big high damage long sword action, divine slasher is what you want period. If you want to use nerg sword cause you like it, do it cause basically nothing in the game is such a dps check that nearly the best weapon won’t suffice

@efesell: I don't think the gunplay is supposed to be the focus. There are guns, they might do cooler things later, but I feel more diablo like "making a build" around equipment modifiers and abilities than destiny's "getting exotic guns" and shooting shit really well. I'm early on in anthem grind(mid in story?), I only played post taken king destiny 1 and a shitload of diablo 1/2/3, for what my thoughts are worth.

I honestly barely touch guns while playing my colossus. Got on a modifier for a huge boost of damage to my shield bash, literally running around with my shield out(Cole Train), and then I perform combo's off of myself by either using a flamethrower to "prime" enemies and "detonate" them with a arc lightning shoulder mounted gun(which I turn on and let it automatically target nearby enemies and I put my shield back up), or I just prime them with the flamethrower and detonate them with a melee strike. I use guns sometimes on shielded targets because they can't be primed while shields are up, sometimes I melee, sometimes I pop my ult which is a triple shot mini nuke rocket launcher.

Not all other builds and javelins work like that, but maybe more than people might initially think.
