(One of these days Asura's Wrath, one of these days.)

I should start a fund and pay people to play this game.

Let it go. It would be nice for people who kind of enjoy the game or already bought it to have some basic QoL features added, bugs squashed and performance/visuals -slightly- better. Outside of that, cut your losses and move on, the game is a boring a turd.

I can see the argument for really fixing the game or reworking large parts of it to save face, but I don't know if a little egg on microsoft's face being wiped off is worth another 1+ year of real large scale development time and cost, IF anyone knows how to actually save it. The basic design of the game seems completely inept and misunderstanding of what to do and what it wants to become, so I don't know if it is salvageable by the same people that made it.

One person isn't making this game, and this one person didn't make all of these other games but the combat designer here has credits on DmC 4/5, Monster Hunter World + Iceborne, Dragon's Dogma and a lot of capcom fighting games. Forgive me if that leads me to hope at how fun this will be to play.

As has been stated, you didn't beat the game, you beat the first chapter of arguably 3(with some more just ending stuff to do at the end of the 3rd chapter).

You're going to continue which I think is the right choice but just be aware, you played what I think is the longest chapter but that's it, 1 of 3.

I've played and beaten Forspoken, touched a little bit of Hogwart's while the girlfriend does way more of that, and I'll be done with RE4 remake fairly soon. I actually do like Forspoken, but RE4 remake for sure so far and I think watching the original RE4 looks pretty rough these days and never finished it back in the day.

I want to get to Hi-fi Rush, I will definitely be getting to FFXVI and if ff7r2 releases? I'm blanking on other 2023 releases I know of and care about right now.

I was in a good groove of finishing games, and then Genshin came out and... I started back on the grind though. I enjoy beating a game. I don't need to do or see every side content and I don't need to replay on the insane difficulties or do ng+. I usually stop going after much side stuff in the back part of a game where it feels even more superfluous and focus on seeing it through. I keep a list of games I've played per year and games I've beaten. I sometimes drop things on purpose, sometimes on a "I'll get back to it" but can't or don't. Overall I said about half but I'd like that to be a little higher.

I had been listening to GB talk about their LG oleds through out the mid 2010s and when the 2019 oled model came out with hdmi 2.1 leading the way for gsync and 120hz/fps, it was my ticket. Still using that lg c9 65" today. It's hooked up to my PC and whatever current consoles I'm on.

@judaspete: I also went to arkham knight because of Kevin Conroy passing and gotham knights coming out and me not wanting anything to do with it mostly, and the digital foundry video section where they compare the art and city of arkham knight a much older game to gotham knights and it completely trounces gotham knights. I beat it and I was extremely impressed. Asylum was amazing for 2009, jaw on the floor "I didn't know license games could be this good". I didn't care for city too much because the city was boring and everything that mattered was in the interior, then the pc kerfuffle for Knight and I just never got to it.

There is too many car battles, but in general I loved the car cause all I could see was all the scenes from batman begins/the dark knight and it was mesmerizing. There's so much given to batman, a little too much, but fear multi take downs and all the gadgets and moves felt fun. I feel bad I waited so long.

@rorie: I don't really feel like anything seemed that out of place but maybe it's a hold over from the first psychonauts for me. Now it doesn't feel "great", but as soon as I got levitation back my muscle memory was hard at work moving that little rolling ball exactly as it did in the first game.

I feel like a lot was said about the combat and platforming being or feeling better than the first game and while that could be true, combat was mostly me just getting nailed by annoying enemies that track to you as soon as you get near them but just keeping pyro aoe on stuff, eventually using time slows and psi blasts to whittle shit down. I felt like the ideas and originality of the new enemies were cool but the actual fights were still flailing around with powers getting hit a lot but there always being enough healing around.

Platforming is a little slippery and imprecise but was ok. As long as we can avoid the meat circus from the first game which has to be like the worst 3d platforming in any major game.

@mento: Yes I saw Elijah Wood as I was letting the credits scroll and kind of doom scrolling on my phone, letting the music do it's thing for a while. Crazy, never noticed at all in game.
