5 seconds in, and Jeff makes me burst out laughing.

"Alright. Here it is."
"What?"
"The fut- I don't know."

Don't know why, but that tickled my funny bone.

Alright, time to see what the Hell this Stadia(?) is.

As someone who usually stays on top of watching Giant Bomb content, I like the new design pretty well, but I will agree it can be easy for something to get lost in the shuffle. A video you're interested in, along with a few others is posted on a day you happen to not be home/go on the internet, and the next day is particularly busy with more; that video is now at least one scroll into "latest" and it can be easy for one episode of Demo Derby or Die Another Friday to slip your mind, or even easier: a one-off that was unexpected.

I agree that a separate page listing all of the latest content for the past month(?) would solve pretty much the only issue I have with the redesign.

@drachmalius: Agreed on both counts of video gameism. And for the record, I hated Infinite to begin with, Dan.

That last attempt is maybe the hardest I've laughed since, I don't know, probably the last Mario Party Party? Man, that was bullshit enemy durability there.

@nachobandit: A Google search for "James Woods asshole" returned an article about how he once was kicked off Twitter for grumbling about Liberals in a way that Twitter deemed "could affect the election", which violates their rules. Woods complained about free speech and so on.

Hypocritically, he also once filed a defamatory lawsuit against "some random internet troll" because he said some mean stuff about him. The case never went through because the defendant died, which Woods proceeded to gloat about.

He seems like a dumbass.

On the other hand, he apparently is always excited to be in the Kingdom Hearts games because he loves being Hades so much (the money probably helps, too). So, that's... heartwarming? Nothing further, just thought that was interesting.

@wiseblood: I was thinking the same thing. The straightforward layout, the hostage situation, the fact that Bathroom Guy exists (1:01:25); it's uncanny, really. Kinda freaky.

I've said it before, but: Man, SWERY is a cool dude. A shame he didn't like Spider-Man, being such a mega fan. Though I remember thinking that the animations of some characters did actually seem... off, so I agree with him there.

I think it's interesting that out of everything to criticize Detroit for, he chooses its path-splitting structure. I feel like almost universally, when a game with branching paths in a story is talked about, it's always in a positive light. Not that every game like that IS good, but that the choice to structure the story such was, at least, a positive. It's interesting to hear from someone who looks at it from a writing or pacing perspective and says "it's kind of unfun". Now, I have no love for Detroit - except in the "so bad it's good" way, and even there, Heavy Rain is the king as far as I say - but I think its branching paths concept is its most flattering feature. But maybe that's because I'm someone who went in anticipating cringe-worthy storytelling, so a "cool" mechanic is the type of thing that can make the game legitimately more enjoyable to me, while I don't have to admit that the game itself is "better" for it.

Anyway, a great list as always, SWERY. I promise to try to check out My Child Lebensborn.

@samlane94: Well, thank you very much for the consideration, but I've already used it up as an early Christmas gift. I really need to get into the habit of considering game pass for any game I'm on the fence about. I don't have it yet, but if games like this are getting added, I should really be paying attention. Thanks again, I'm gonna go kick myself :)

Well, I guess this is gonna be my Christmas gift this year. Between the other 9 games it feels like came out this December, along with Below tomorrow, I just can't spare the dough. But damn if this game doesn't seem cool. I appreciate the difficulty options, too. I feel like most times, the condition of "damage you take stays constant between encounters" is usually one which you just have to learn to deal with, and difficulty just changes damage dealt/taken. As someone who gets unreasonably stressed over stuff like that, Normal difficulty may have been the thing that pushed this game over into the "playing it" category for me.

@monkeyking1969: Well, there it is. I'm glad we finally found something that will stop all the outrage around the crew's negative opinions of RDR2. Seriously though, this is a good point. I mean, people will get mad at their favorite game for this week not being talked about enough/too negatively/not positively in the way they want until the cows come home. The best the crew can do is talk about what is interesting to them. "Interesting" not always meaning "good", but also not meaning "bad". Case in point: they don't discuss Fallout 76 for 30 minutes just because it would be funny to hear Jeff swear a lot about it.

Also, Dan's best JoJo Stand shouting rap adlib impression was very good.

@spencero: Oh, cool! I remember watching this match with so many others after getting them off Limewire. 14-16 year-old me watched a LOT of this era of wrestling.

Don't know if you'd remember, but was the crowd pop when Jeff Hardy reversed the Last Ride with a chair shot as good as it sounded? You'd think The Rock had just given Hitler the People's Elbow given that reaction. One of my favorite crowd reactions, right up there with Earl Hebner fast-counting Triple H in his title match against Jericho.
