With my new school and work schedule (and booking Sunday off), I have FIVE of these six days completely clear. I am both excited and terrified of the coming days.
Also, I hope Jeff, Vinny, Brad and the rest of the crew are preparing their eulogies for Alex's funeral, which will evidently take place the Wednesday after Extra Life. Man... if Alex can do that. If he can actually accomplish that Herculean, nay, more-than-Herculean task... that will overtake the spot for "Favorite Giant Bomb Moment", topping the Persona 4 ER finale, Drew winning Mario Party Live, and Brad joining the Mile High Club. If I had a shred of good editing skill in me, I'd make a short video lining up Jim Ross' commentary during Jeff Hardy's ladder match against Undertaker with Alex in the last moments of his stream.

"Climb that ladder, kid! Make yourself FAMOUS! Alex Navarro, his body wracked with pain from head to toe! Alex is so close! He's touching the gold!"
I’m sitting here doing my Excel spreadsheet work in school (we’re allowed to listen to music/podcasts), and I started tearing up from the start of this episode.
@mak_wikus: I always REALLY enjoyed reading reviews on Giant Bomb. Brad's and Alex's reviews are usually my favorites to read. Their style is always fun and informative to read.
Not gonna lie, kind of sad if that's for sure gone forever now. At the same time, I can't deny the broader net this style of review casts, not to mention I can listen to it at work, like any other podcast. Still... I feel sad and a little older now.
Roland Deschain was right: the world has moved on.
And to think, I was kind of bummed when it was going to be "just" Alex and Vinny. Now, I'm thinking of this more like a "chill with Alex and Vinny" segment, and I am OKAY WITH THAT. Plus, it helps they're playing one of the best series to ever grace video games. I really hope Alex does the side mission set on Earth's moon. A personal favorite of mine.
Dan reviews are always great at cutting to the chase on why the game is fun (or why it isn't). I always get a good sense of "here's why I'm going to have fun when I pick up the controller in this game."
Good job, Sony. Glad to see one of my past-favorite series (that I have lapsed on in recent years) be revived in such a stellar way.
Reviews like this are why I'm sad the form is disappearing, obviously not because this is a particularly glowing or scathing one, but I just like well written reviews. This was a fun read, even if I was a bit disappointed about the verdict.
Farcry has kind of always been my comfort food game, so I definitely think I'll fall into the latter camp of people just willing to drone out the characters and story with podcasts or background video and just enjoy shotgunning dudes in the chest. Though I've strangely heard conflicting opinions on the story; I say "strangely" because I had resigned to it being flat, so I don't know...
What I DO know is that 3 stars is not "reviewed badly" for a game. I guess you're free to interpret the text however you want, but to me, the score and the review itself spell out "Eh, it's just... fine" as boldly as possible.
