I'm glad you like it. It's good to hear, since I'm going through it and I've been enjoying it as well. Good to know it keeps up the quality, I could imagine another game losing stride 60% of the way through and just feeling "bleh". I really like stealth games where if stealth is broken, it's relatively easy to re-enter it, and this game does that really well. Lets you stay quiet or go loud without heavily punishing you as long as you have a plan. And that crossbow!* Mmmm!

* With damage upgrade.

Ever since I had the big, cool twist of this game spoiled for me, I've never had the drive to actually finish it. Oh, well. The Vinny/Alex Combo is top tier, so (maybe) I'll experience this game and it's ending with them (rather than via a very poorly written and seemingly deliberately spoiler-laden guide); that's almost like getting the time I spent with the game back! ...Right?
Edit: Added a single parenthetical after learning this is maybe, certainly, perhaps not a full playthrough.

I can't get enough of the scene of the Soda-Monkey walking up and Dan's reaction. This must be sixth time since this was posted that I've went back and watched it. What a good game/video series.

Here's hoping this stream inspires some drive in this game for me. I don't know what it is exactly, but I can't really get into this game. It's procgenerated characters, yet so far as I've played, it seems very interested in telling its main story, whereas I would say the strength of a design like that would shine in the sidequests. Maybe I just need to play more? Anyway, this should be fun either way.

Yeah no, there are certain games I would value Giant Bomb's opinion on, this is not one of them. I need people more up on their knowledge for games like this. If other people enjoy this video that's great, but I won't be clicking play.

Wish I wouldn't have clicked on reading this remarkably pointless comment. What is the point of clicking through to this page just to leave this comment? What 'knowledge' are they supposedly not up on?

"Hello! I just showed up at this party to tell you I won't be staying. And the people running it are bad party hosts. Goodbye!"

This game looks great though. Can't wait for this to come to console. Hopefully, that will happen sometime before the next general election. I imagine running a Quick Look like this is a bit daunting, what with all the systems involved. Plus the fact that, evidently from this comment section, everyone wants a QL to be a slightly different, more/less specialized thing. Downloading, and can't wait to watch.

Good God, the Burning Hammer is a horrifying move. Straight from an article on the move:

"The Burning Hammer is quite dangerous even for seasoned veterans to perform, but it's not straight up banned anywhere but the WWE ... Rather, the move is almost never performed because most wrestlers are not willing to take the risk."

It's a rad finisher in a video game, though! That, the Snap DDT (AKA Raven Effect), and the Angle Slam are my favourites. Big excited for this.

@chasefailey: Easiest way is to click on the Civ 6 game link in the show notes (or just search Civilization 6: Gathering Storm in the site) and look in Videos on its page. Should only be 3 videos in there right now. All with Alex.

@bananaofdoom: Same. After about 10 different streams I'd downloaded, with 6 of them either mainly or exclusively featuring Alex, it became clear that he was my quarantine shepherd (Or SHEPARD! I'll see myself out).

Man, I was so excited to play this game and then I realized "right... it's only on PC right now, huh?" Both this and Chimera Squad seem like really good games in a genre I'm usually reticent to get into. Damn. At least this is coming to Xbone, can't necessarily say the same for CS.

On the plus side, I'm glad to hear Vinny takes ample time to explore the menus. Those are a rather important part of tactics games, y'know?

Ah, I missed this review! Found it while downloading the next huge cache of lockdown videos (holy man, you guys are putting out content like crazy!).

I'm in somewhat of a weird position, because while my heart says that this game is an easy 5-stars for me, your criticism of the last few levels have left me paralyzed to actually get around to finishing the game; not to mention that I did do the first of the "final levels" and even on Hurt Me Plenty, that was rough. Honestly don't know how you did that on Ultra Violence - but I guess you cover that, and how playing on controller exacerbated it, in the review.

Good review, Brad! Always happy to read one of these.
