David Gaider has worked at Bioware since 1999, as both a writer and designer. He is the lead writer on Dragon Age: Origins, and Dragon Age II (Game) as well as writing the first two Dragon Age novels; Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne and Dragon Age: The Calling.

Dragon Age

As lead writer of the Dragon Age franchise, Gaider wrote the Human Noble and Dalish Elf Origins stories. He is also responsible for the Redcliffe (Location) and Brecilian Forest (Location) quest lines. Gaider is credited with the creation of and writing for the characters of Duncan (Character), Cailan, Alistair (Character), Morrigan, Zevran (Character), and Shale (Character).
