Panther
The Panther was a medium tank fielded by Nazi Germany in World War II. It was arguably the best mass produced tank of the war.
Overview
The Panzer Panther, or just Panther, was a German tank used in World War II that served from mid-1943 to the end of the war in 1945. It was intended to counter the T-34, and to replace the Panzer II (Object) and Panzer IV (Object), instead it served along with them and the heavier Tiger tank until the end of the war. The Panther's excellent combination of firepower, mobility and innovative sloped armor protection served as a benchmark for other nations' late war and post-war tank designs, it is also regarded as one of the best tank design of World War II, it did have a weakness, however, its side armor was very thin and was therefore very vulnerable to close-quarter combat, but it was deadly in open country and shooting from long range. The chassis of the Panther tank was used on several other tanks, such as the Jagdpanther (Object).

Company of Heroes
All Wehrmacht and Panzer Elite players can in the Company of Heroes franchise get a Panther tank. It is the most expensive of the tanks (non-Doctrine tanks). It has, as it had in real life, very weak side-armor and is therefore very vulnerable to enemy anti-tank infantry and flanking vehicles, but deadly from long range and open terrain. If you are playing as Panzer Elite, you have to get all the building upgrades in order to call in two Panthers to the battlefield, It'll cost 1200 Manpower to call them in (cheaper than Wehrmacht).
Call of Duty: World at War
In a mission of the Russian campaign in Call of Duty: World at War you are commandeering a T-34 as you are hunting enemy Panther tanks, amongst other objectives. Also here, the Panther tank can take multiple hits in the front, but only a couple in the sides.
World of Tanks
' In the Free to play game World of Tanks the Panther is currently the highest tier German medium tank, it has a very powerful 88mm gun and decent speed and armor. It is quite capable of engaging all other medium tanks but suffers against heavies. In the game you are able to upgrade to the schmallturm originally intended for the planned Panther II.
