The Jagdpanther was a tank destroyer built by Nazi Germany in World War II.
Overview
The Jagdpanther (meaning "hunting panther" in German) was a German heavy tank destroyer in World War II (Concept) based on the chassis of the Panther (Object) tank. Many military historians consider the Jagdpanther to be one of the best tank destroyers of the war due to the combination of the 88mm KwK 43 gun and the proven Panther chassis. A total of 415 Jagdpanthers were produced in total. They were mainly used on the Eastern Front, although significant numbers were concentrated in the west for the Ardennes Offensive. They were first encountered in the west in very small numbers late in the Battle of Normandy, where the German 654th Heavy Anti-Tank Battalion deployed about 12 Jagdpanthers against British units.

The Panzer Elite can in Company of Heroes (Franchise) call in a Jagdpanther by using the Tank Destroyer Doctrine. It is a rather slow-moving turret-less heavy tank that is deadly against other armored vehicles but is not that strong against infantry, a combination of the Jagdpanther and some anti-infantry units is therefore often the best solution. You can only call in one Jagdpanther throughout the entire match, so make sure you keep som Pioneers nearby to repair it when needed.
