Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel, known in Japan as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters International: Worldwide Edition, is a collectible card RPG developed by KCE Japan and published by Konami (Company) for the Game Boy Advance (Platform) worldwide on April 15, 2003. It is a reworked version of the sixth installment of the handheld Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series, made for a simultaneous worldwide release and for use as the official software of the 2003 Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship. It is the third overseas release of the series (as the two previous installments were released afterwards). Stairway to the Destined Duel is a card game based on the second season of Yu-Gi-Oh! season. Set in Battle City, you take on the best duelists to create a reputation for yourself, and defeat an evil organization from gathering the 3 Egyptain God cards. The game features the same rules and loopholes as the card game, and loosely follows the plot of the second season by using the same characters and cards featured in the anime. You do not play as the main character, Yugi Muto, in this game, instead playing as an unnamed character seeing the world in a first person perspective.
