GAME » on March 21, 2024
A remake of MICA Team's first real game, Codename: Bakery Girl.

A remake of Codename: Bakery Girl, set about 30 years after the events of Girls' Frontline (Game). Antarctic Union (AU) special agent Mendo goes on an important mission in the heart of the North Caucasus when he is ambushed by the forces of the Union of Rossatrism Nations Coalitions (URNC) and pinned down in a desperate situation. His only hope for survival and completing the mission lies in a strange, silver-haired woman named Jefuty, a.k.a. "Bakery Girl."

The game is said to contain over 60 campaign stages, multiple endings depending on mission performance, and a script exceeding 300,000 words combined, told over animated 2D sprites with occasional vibrant illustrations in-between.

Gameplay

Most of the gameplay takes place on a large rectangular grid. Ally and enemy sides take turns moving their units around the map and taking actions with a small pool of Action Points (AP) that gets reset after each turn. The terrain, skill, or type of attack being used can all affect the amount of AP needed to perform the action.

All characters will have a weapon type that will allow them to fire at enemies in a certain range of squares, with red squares representing the ideal range for that weapon, and yellow representing a less-accurate but still feasible shot. The terrain the attacker and the target are both standing on will affect the accuracy of the shot, the target's chance to evade the shot, and the amount of damage that can be reduced.

All allied characters soon unlock skills that require Skill Points (SP) to use, and a certain amount of turns to cooldown before they can be used again, but otherwise are unrestricted.

The player loses if all allied characters are in "Critical Condition." If one character is still active, they can revive an ally from Critical Condition with use of a certain item or skill.
